This month's book is Sky Club by Terry Roberts, an historical fiction set in Asheville. The book tells the story of Jo Salter, a young mountain woman who survives the ravages of the Great Depression to create a new life for herself and her lover as a night club owner and bootlegger. A beautifully written historical novel about the rich culture that makes Asheville and the surrounding countryside a great place to call home.
