The Ritual Committee is planning a full schedule of High Holiday Services to our Community via ZOOM. When you receive the ZOOM link, please feel free to share our services with family members and friends.

Rosh Hashanah – Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 11:00 am., followed by
“A Sweet New Year” nosh and schmooze via ZOOM.

Special Guest Speaker: Paul Golin, Executive Director, Society for Humanistic Judaism, will be giving a talk on "What the High Holidays Mean for People Who Are Both Jewish and Secular Humanistic."

A SWEET GIFT TO START THE NEW YEAR

Join us to start the new year with traditional sweets of Rosh Hashanah! Enjoy a delicious nosh at the conclusion of the Rosh Hashanah morning Zoom service.

The Holiday Catering Committee is creating free gift bags to include:
 

   Round Raisin Challah

   Chocolate Babka

   Apple and honey

We are preparing bags, one per household, for current members
You may pick up your free gift on Friday, September 18th, from 1:30-2:30pm at the 
Congregation Beth Israel parking lot (229 Murdock Avenue, Asheville).

To reserve your gift email Marti Biller (mailto:martibiller@gmail.com) by Sept. 2nd with your name. Be sure you have renewed your JSCA membership before ordering. Quantities are limited so order now! If necessary you can arrange for another member to pick up your holiday bag.
