Holidays and Shabbat
The Need to Celebrate is a human need. It reinforces our commitment to continue our traditions and, ultimately, to survive as a people. Celebrating together reinforces the importance of community. It also enriches our lives by connecting us to our traditions and history. As secular Jews, celebration is a key ingredient to all that we believe is most important to our humanness. Below are the holidays we celebrate together:
Rosh Hashanah
Yom Kippur
Chanukah
Passover
Sukkot
Purim
Tu B’Shevat
During this Covid-19 pandemic, High Holiday services will be conducted virtually.
If you would like to join us at any of our events please contact Errol Stone stoneem@gmail.com 828-505-5222.
Let us know what event you are interested in and we will get back to you.
Shabbat
We come together once a month to celebrate Shabbat. The service is led by our generous volunteers who brings great energy, passion and beautiful music and song to each service. This is a wonderful time to join with family and friends to affirm our connection to Secular Judaism. Each month there is an Oneg which follows the service where we recite the Jewish Secular blessings for Candle Lighting, Wine, and Challah. More information [HERE]
